Peter J. Somera Jr. is a dedicated Boca Raton personal injury attorney and co-founder of Somera & Silva, LLP. He has extensive experience litigating a wide range of complex legal matters, including catastrophic injury cases, wrongful death lawsuits, and cases involving automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and slip and falls. With every case he selects, Mr. Somera is driven to fight for truth and accountability. He believes in fully immersing himself in each individual case in order to better understand his clients’ unique goals. Education
Mr. Somera attended Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, which, having been founded in 1842, is one of the oldest law schools in the country. There, he achieved Dean’s Honors twice, in the fall of 1992 and again in the spring of 1993. He went on to complete his legal education at the University of Miami School of Law, where he earned a place on the Editorial Board of the Inter-American Law Review for being among the top 15% of his class.
Legal Practice
At the age of 36 in 2003, Mr. Somera was named one of the youngest attorneys in the country to obtain a jury verdict of more than $1 million for a single individual in a personal injury case for his work in Little v. The Vessel Halleluiah. Mr. Somera is currently a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which honors attorneys who have achieved million-dollar verdicts on behalf of their clients, and was selected as one of the Top 100 Florida Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers.
